Understand the installation steps of gas water heaters

1、 Check if the accessories are complete
We generally do not recommend consumers to unpack the product packaging or install the water heater themselves. It is best to have personnel with relevant qualifications perform the unboxing and installation. When opening the box, it is necessary to check whether the appearance of the gas water heater is damaged and whether the number of accessories is consistent with the instructions.
2、 Fixed gas water heater
If the product appearance is intact and the accessories are complete, it can be fixedly installed. Gas water heaters are usually hung on walls, so it is necessary to first install brackets on the wall with expansion screws. After the brackets are fixed, the water heater can be hung on top of the brackets. It should be noted that the wall must be a solid wall that can withstand a certain amount of weight, and wooden walls are not allowed to be installed on it.
3、 Connect the pipeline to the power supply
After fixing the gas water heater, it can be connected to the pre installed pipeline with a hose. Because the water pipe is buried in the wall, it is important not to confuse the inlet pipe with the outlet pipe. Then connect the inlet pipe (which is usually yellow), install a metal exhaust pipe, and wrap the exhaust pipe connection with tin foil. Finally, connect the power supply (the condenser water heater also has a condensate outlet that needs to be connected to a regular water pipe).
4、 Check for air and water leaks
Without turning on the gas water heater, open the gas valve and angle valve, check the pointer or reading of the gas meter, which should remain unchanged under normal circumstances. Otherwise, it indicates that there is a gas leak in the water heater or connecting pipe. At this time, immediately close the gas valve, open the window for ventilation, and then check and eliminate the fault. If there are no issues such as air or water leakage, you can turn on the gas water heater and enjoy a comfortable hot bath!
