Understanding the Importance of Flame Safety Devices for Hobs
Flame safety devices, often referred to as flame failure devices, are essential components in modern hobs that utilize gas as a fuel source. These devices serve a pivotal role in enhancing kitchen safety by preventing gas leaks and uncontrolled flames, which can pose significant hazards. Understanding their functionality and importance is crucial for anyone who uses gas appliances in their kitchen

1、 Determine the gas source
There are two types of gas used in households, one is bottled liquefied petroleum gas, and the other is pipeline natural gas. For example, in some urban villages or old urban areas, due to the lack of natural gas pipelines during building construction, bottled liquefied petroleum gas can only be used. It should be noted that the two gases are not the same, and the oxygen mixing ratio during combustion is also different, so manufacturers will provide both petroleum gas and natural gas versions for consumers to choose from. Consumers should first determine the type of gas used in their home when making a purchase, and then choose the appropriate product.
2、 Select liters
Every gas water heater has a rated hot water production capacity parameter, which refers to the water output per minute while ensuring a 25 ℃ increase in water temperature. If the water temperature is 20 ℃, a 10L gas water heater can produce a maximum water output of 10L per minute at a water outlet temperature of 45 ℃. Simply put, the larger the number of liters, the better the heating capacity of the water heater.
So how should we choose the number of liters for a gas water heater? If economic conditions permit, it is natural that the higher the number of liters, the better; If the area is located in a warmer winter or if the hot water is only used for bathing (without the need to supply kitchen and bathroom faucets), you can choose a product with a capacity of no less than 8L; If you want to supply hot water to the entire house, then a 12L gas water heater is your best choice.
3、 Select function
After five stages of development, the functions of gas water heaters have gradually increased. Not only has a fan been added to forcibly remove the combustion exhaust gas, but multiple sensors have also been added, such as inlet and outlet water temperature sensors, flow sensors, pressure sensors, etc. The knob type temperature control has been changed to button type control to achieve a constant temperature effect. Moreover, there are multiple protective measures in place to prevent accidents such as gas leakage and electric leakage.
Rotary temperature control water heaters are gradually being replaced by electric control water heaters. I suggest prioritizing electric control water heaters; If the water pressure at home is low or fluctuates greatly, the constant temperature function can also be chosen. But the prerequisite for selecting the function is to check whether the gas water heater has 3C mandatory certification and the insurance company's underwriting mark
4、 Choose energy efficiency
Gas water heaters, like general household appliances, also have national energy efficiency certification. The energy efficiency of a typical gas water heater is level two, but by adding condensation technology and using a condensation heat exchanger to preheat the cold water, and then using a main heat exchanger for secondary heating, the thermal efficiency can be improved to achieve level one energy efficiency. The energy-saving effect is still very obvious, and consumers can choose it first.
